About the role

At fyans and co., we deliver high-quality, person-centred core supports across Greater Geelong. We are seeking a reliable, grounded casual support worker to join our team.

In this role, you will work directly with an NDIS participant to support their daily routine, assist with community access and help them build skills towards their personal goals.

We match our support workers with participants based on shared interests, location and personality, making every shift engaging and meaningful.

Key responsibilities

Community engagement

Accompany participants to social activities, appointments, recreational events and daily errands.

In-home support

Assist with practical household tasks, meal preparation and daily routines alongside the participant.

Goal support

Encourage independence, skill building and personal confidence in line with the participant's NDIS plan.

Reporting

Complete clear, accurate progress notes in our mobile shift app at the end of each shift.

What you bring

  • A genuine, respectful attitude towards disability support and participant choice.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, adaptable approach.
  • High personal standards for punctuality, reliability and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to work autonomously without needing constant supervision.

Mandatory requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must hold or be willing to obtain:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
  • Working with Children Check (Employee).
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle.
  • Proof of comprehensive car insurance with business use listing.
  • Australian working rights.

We pay you above the SCHADS Award, including casual loading, weekend penalty rates, superannuation and vehicle allowances.

Company-provided phone

We provide you with a smartphone to use for business purposes. We also use a simple app for rosters, clock-ins and progress notes.
